This day, Valerie felt completely numb from the moment she wake up. And she knew why. Two years ago, her little sister had been eaten by a titan. But she walked through the day, the rest of the world nothing but a grey blur.
In the evening, the girl decided to go outside for a stroll, feeling like the space and people around her was closing in on her every minute. She needed space. So she walked, until the darkness had closed completely in over her and she couldn’t even see her surroundings.
The surprise when she almost walked straight into another person in the dark was the first actual emotion Valerie felt that day. “Oh!” she yelped surprised.
"That was a bad plan."
"Yeah, but it was your plan, was it not?" The dark haired boy quirked an eyebrow upwards. "Next time, we're going with my plan."

She sighed briefly before turning her biggest, brightest smile up to him. It was officially a lost cause. "Could you...just...wait out here, just a bit? Maybe?"

The girl tugged on his arm, trying desperately to divert his attention from her partner in crime. Damn, he'd turned out to be more perceptive than she'd anticipated. What had she anticipated, anyway? Had she at all? "Reiner, Reiner, over here! Nothing's going on in there, and Mikasa's probably just visiting Eren! She does that, right?"
Reiner stated at the pigtailed girl, not believing her one bit.
"HEY! REINER!" Mina shouted at the stocky trainee from outside the boys' cabin. "It is Reiner, right? Get your butt out here! I don't think I've actually met you yet!"
Reiner walked outside. "Uhh....Yeah? You're Mina right?"
