The interaction Urek has with Headon in the first episode of TOG: Urek Mazino has me tripped up because why was Headon so serious when thinking "this man must not enter the Tower" only to barely put up a fight like i know the reasonable part of my brain is like yeah that's probably just a cheap line to build suspense and illustrate Urek's power to new readers but if I take it seriously it means that Headon, if he feels the need to, CAN just go against the Tower's wishes and try to stop those chosen by the Tower from climbing it

When Headon thinks that Urek shouldn't be let in is it because he thinks Urek will turn out to be another Phantaminum? that would explain why he bends under no pressure when Urek says that his goal is to find Phantaminum while furrowing his brows and says "I suppose I cannot turn away the one who opened the door himself. After all, the Tower never rejects anyone who wishes to climb it" but if he can't turn away anyone who opens the door then why did he turn him away when he opened the door

Idk am I just overthinking it? What I'm taking away from this interaction is that Headon's views for what the Tower needs don't always necessarily align with what the Tower says it needs and that while he is capable of trying to cook up his own schemes, at the end of the day be can't just outright go against the Tower which is why all he was able to do was verbally turn down Urek to try to get him to turn away

This has me mulling over his interaction/relationship with Roachel since he knows she's not the one the Tower chose and that her goal from the get go is to get in the way of Bam, the actual chosen one, yet he still let's her ascend in exchange for SOMETHING which could be his way again of going against the Tower's wishes in the long term by using her to cook up schemes as she climbs or maybe the scheme is simply letting her climb and giving her Ghost to ensure she can climb and follow her goal of "seeing the stars" or whatever
