Starter for @headstrongaries
Yugi had, for the third time, requested the twins to help him around the shop. It was the middle of the week, and without his Grandpa working, the midday rush of customers often overwhelmed him and made it nearly impossible for him to function well during his job.The evening rush had subsided, leaving the shop mostly empty while Yugi sat at the counter, going over stocks and sales, seeing how much profit they made during the busiest hours. Naturally, Arin was off doing whatever Yugi had told him to, possibly checking inventory in the back or looking for some posters he was supposed to hang up in the windows. He forgot what he had told him to do.
Not that it entirely mattered. The ram had agreed to do most things as long as they were in moderation, which was reasonable. The poor boy wasn’t going to force Arin to do anything too extreme anyway, like move heavy things.
He was snapped out of his concentrated gaze and state of mind when the bells on the door chimed, signalling someone had entered. He perked up, greeting them like he normally did. Smile wide, voice soft and welcoming.
“Welcome! How may I he-...”
Except, his voice had wavered, smile fading after he realized WHAT had come through the door. Those were no customers. Those were... hooligans, heathens, to say the least. Equipped with weaponry ranging from guns to makeshift baseball bats with rusted nails in them. And, frankly, he couldn’t bring himself to move or finish his sentence until the one with the pistol pointed it to his forehead and spoke in a low, threatening tone...
Much to Yugi’s dismay, he was so scared that he couldn’t even hear, just see his lips moving. He caught onto ‘where’ and ‘demon’. Was he asking where Arin was?
“...He’s not here today. Pl-Please see yourself out. Or... or-”
That wasn’t the right answer, because he found himself being grabbed by the shirt collar and tugged halfway over the glass counter, gun pressing against his lower jaw.
It was at that moment, that Yugi actually cried out. And realized what wet leather felt like.
