Happy Mother's Day weekend, Chatters!!
Sharing 3 others' ideas today...
"Not long ago, it dawned on me that impostor syndrome is a paradox: • Others believe in you • You don’t believe in yourself • Yet you believe yourself instead of them If you doubt yourself, shouldn’t you also doubt your low opinion of yourself? I now believe that impostor syndrome is a sign of hidden potential. It feels like other people are overestimating you, but it’s more likely that you’re underestimating yourself. They’ve recognized a capacity for growth that you can’t see yet. When multiple people believe in you, it might be time to believe them. Many people dream of achieving goals. They measure their progress by the status they acquire and the accolades they collect. But the gains that count the most are the hardest to count. The most meaningful growth is not building our careers — it’s building our character. Success is more than reaching our goals — it’s living our values. There’s no higher value than aspiring to be better tomorrow than we are today. There’s no greater accomplishment than unleashing our hidden potential."

Liz Fosslein has much wisdom too!!
And last, but not least... Mark Manson, author of The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck, 10 years of therapy summarized in 1 minute:

Happy May chatters!
Well, here's a song and an artist who is a rising star. His name is Yung Blud... and he has collaborated with one of my favourite 90's bands, Smashing Pumpkins in Zombie.
The song was written about his grandmother, who struggled with addiction and slowly faded—something he’s said shaped the song’s raw honesty. It hits close to home for me. My grandmother died from alcohol addiction and emphysema from tobacco, long before I had the words to understand it, and watching someone you love slowly fade doesn’t just break your heart, it shapes your life—it’s one of the reasons I became a Doctor, and why I believe, at the end of it all, relationships heal.<3
Continuing on the Yungblud front—and on healing—on Breakdown, he doesn’t offer a grand cure—he offers small, human steps. Step outside and feel the grass under your feet. Tell someone you love them. Be kind to a stranger. Ask the person serving your coffee how they’re really doing. Speak gently, avoid the fight, tell the truth—because when your world feels like it’s falling apart, sometimes the way back isn’t big… it’s simple (like K-BINGO?), it’s human, and it starts with connection. As he reminds us, ‘everything’s about connection, you don’t have to be alone.’
Take 2 Yung Blud and call me in the morning... Thanks brother!<3

Greetings Chatters,
It has been sometime, but we are still learning and healing each and every day!
Today's episode is brought to you by Canadian violinist and rock star, Melanie Doane, with her tongue in cheek and yet so socially relevant, "Happy Homemaker."
It rocked in the 90's as it does now...
Listen to the words and the humour and maybe, just maybe... you'll find the "it gets better" way.
Keep on homemaking!

It's time to "PIVOT!!!"
Remember every day is a fresh restart... get through the MORNING, get through the AFTERNOON, get through the EVENING... FREE from maladaptive behaviours (not thoughts).
because "Behaviour is a language"... thoughts are just thoughts, and feelings are just feelings. Sometimes those feelings can be hard and therefore changing your thoughts and behaviours can help.
Feelings, Thoughts and Behaviours go BOTH ways...
So pick an AIM/GOAL/TASK that helps you and is ACHIEVABLE like Cleaning the Clutter in your room(see go Environ-Mental https://www.tumblr.com/happy2chat/705952195518054400/cbtplusca-happy2chat-blog?source=share). Jordan Peterson has some good thoughts on this matter.
Check out the Gorilla experiment to see how what you focus on manifests itself (maybe the gorilla and the monster don't really exist?)...
So with all of that...
Wishing you more peace/contentment in 2026!!<3

Hey Chatters,
I stumbled onto this fun series on hulu... Chad Powers rules!! It's a great story of the ability to change for the better. The show follows Russ Holiday, a star quarterback, after he disgraces himself on the field at a major college program. After ruining his reputation (his character of being a selfish pr*ck did not help), Holiday undergoes a physical (and spiritual) transformation, with the help of prosthetics and a wig, to disguise his identity in order to join a floundering football team at a small school under the name of Chad Powers. It is the anti-hero's journey of finding out what truly matters.
It reminds me of the song, "Change Your Mind" by Sister Hazel.
One, two, ooh, yeah Ooh, ooh, yeah Ooh, ooh, yeah
Hey, hey Did you ever think there might be another way To just feel better, baby, just feel better about today? Oh no, if you never wanna have to turn and then go away Baby, you might feel better, might feel better if you stay
Yeah, yeah I bet you haven't heard a word I've said Yeah, yeah If you had enough of all your tryin' Just give up the state of mind you're in
If you wanna be somebody else If you're tired of fighting battles, baby, with yourself If you wanna be somebody else Change your mind, yeah, yeah Change your mind, oh, yeah, yeah
Hey, hey Have you ever danced in the rain or thanked the sun Baby, just for shining, just for shining o'er the sea? Oh, no Oh, you take it all in, the world's a show Oh, yeah Well, you look much better, look much better when you glow
Yeah, yeah I hope you heard every word I've said Yeah, yeah If you had enough of all your tryin' Just give up the state of mind you're in
If you wanna be somebody else If you're tired of fighting battles with yourself If you wanna be somebody else Change your mind, yeah, yeah Change your mind, oh, yeah, yeah
Said, ooh, ooh, yeah Ooh, ooh, yeah
All, y'all, give me a little groove, come on, uh That's it, get your heart beating Break a sweat with me
Say, hey, hey, what you say? We all go and we seize the day And what's your hurry, what's your hurry anyway? That's enough, never mind
Yeah, yeah I bet you haven't heard a word I've said And yeah, yeah If you had enough of all your tryin' Just give up the state of mind you're in
If you wanna be somebody else Oh, if you're tired of losing battles with yourself If you wanna be somebody else Change your mind, yeah, yeah Change your mind, oh, yeah, yeah
Ooh, ooh-ooh, yeah (get outta your mind) Ooh, ooh-ooh, yeah (outta your mind) Ooh, ooh-ooh, yeah (lose your mind) Ooh, ooh-ooh, yeah Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Thank y'all very much Thank you You are very kind

Happy Fall Chatters!!
It has been some time since out last entry, but we have been healing (myself and others) in the interim.
Orange Bench Radio has come to a Season 1 close (Season 2 in 2026?)... a 40 Episode journey with much learning and music!!
As I have said, MUSIC IS MEDICINE...
Brand New Day (the above video) by Forty Foot Echo and from the Freaky Friday soundtrack (2003)... has a lot of inspiration toed to it (including the movie... the long awaited sequel, Freakier Friday (2005), was pretty fun too!!).
Never thought I'd say I'm sorry Never thought I'd be the one to bring you down Now when I look out my window Mmm there doesn't seem to be anyone around
And I I think I'll change my ways So all your words get noticed (Oh noticed) Tomorrow's a brand new day Tomorrow's a new day
Words to live by??
Every day is a brand new day to start afresh... with hope and promise that "my future is getting better."
Pivoting back to the movies Freaky Friday (and Freakier Friday) - the plot is set in a day in the life of 13-year-old Annabel Andrews and her mother, who spend one Friday in each other's bodies... the sequel is a bit more complicated, but it's the same premise of living the life in someone else's shoes to gain perspective on our own healing journey.
FAMILY IS ALSO MEDICINE.
Book 3 is done (at least in the head)... we are it writing as we speak because these blog entries help organize the content...
Stay tuned!
