This little shopper is choosing some fresh vegetables at the new @deciccos in Larchmont. Did you know that vegetables are less scary to kids when they are familiar with them? Make them fun to make them familiar. Give your kiddos a task next time at the store. Have them look for one vegetable (or fruit) for each color of the rainbow. Take one home and try it. Try it with something familiar (and much loved) like on a piece of pizza or over pasta. Try them raw and cooked. Talk about the colors, textures and flavors. On your next trip to the store, try to find two fruits or vegetables for each color of the rainbow. Take one home and try it. Repeat. Repeat.
