Program Highlights!
While the world continues to try and get to a new normal, some things have remained the same here at Believe in Books Literacy Foundation. A number of our programs may now look a little different, but some of them remain intact. Books from Birth is one of these programs. While we are not able to visit preschools for the remainder of this school year, we are continuing to mail out brand-new books to little ones from newborns up to 5-years old! We currently have over 500 children on our Books from Birth mailing list who receive a new book at important developmental milestones as they grow. We are always accepting new little ones to join our mailing so please feel free to sign up your new bundle of joy and let us send them new books! Healthy Readers is another program of ours that provides brand-new books to children at their doctor’s offices. We currently serve the Saco River Medical Group and the Primary Care offices at Memorial Hospital. Whenever, their supply of books gets low, we deliver another collection of new books for their staff to offer to their young patients at each well-child visit! We love making these deliveries! We are figuring out ways to continue these programs because we know children need outlets for their imagination and there is no better outlet than books!
