Did I perhaps just detect the soft thud of Chekhov's gun being placed on the mantel
Oh my goodness just listened to 2x07 and it is Rayla’s theme!! So beautiful! ♡ ♡ ♡ Also noticed that Callum has his own self-loathing moment right after and Rayla reacts very similarly to the way Callum does when she has her own self-loathing moment in 3x04 and that parallel is golden
It is! They’ve been reassuring and comforting each other for a while now, as they get closer together. They’re both struggling with the very central them of who they are vs who they think they should be vs who they really want to be. But with each other to help out, they’re finding solid ground and learning that it’s okay to falter, as long as you keep trying, together.
When was the first time you crafted one of those silver lotus flowers?
During my apprenticeship. It’s such a beautifully symmetrical flower. I really enjoyed putting it together. I also deeply enjoy its symbolism. So romantic! I knew that if I ever found someone to give my heart to, they’d also receive a heartbloom trinket from me. So it was a tick off the bucket list to get to craft one for Runaan after we married. I was so excited to work on that gift, you have no idea.
I may have teared up just a little when I put it in his hands and told him, “You have my heart, Runaan. You are my heart.”

Rayla’s theme is in S2
We all love Rayla’s theme song, “Heartbloom,” which plays during the flashback in S3E3 “Ghost” at the ritual pool, and then later at the oasis when Rayllum has their first kiss. But I just realized that it plays earlier than that, too. It’s the music during the scene in S2E7 when Rayla tells Callum that she’s going to go down and save the red dragon if she can. It starts right around 15:49.
Maybe there are other places that it plays. Time for yet another rewatch!
what if your lovely runaan just walked through that door today? what if his flower sank due to a mistake of some kind?
If he walked in the door, I’d launch myself into his arms.
If it sank due to a mistake? I wouldn’t sleep until I figured out what I did wrong. Those flowers are my craftsmanship. They’re my creations and my magic. And they’ve never failed me before. I’m not sure how I’d feel, knowing my work wasn’t accurate. That would be hard. I might need to do a lot of studying and practice before I felt Runaan could trust me again. But if it meant he were here with me? That would be more than I could hope for.
Why were the flowers you made for the assassins different colors? what do they mean?
You’re talking about the crystals in the center of the heartblooms? Those are linked to their life force, but there’s no reason they can’t also be pretty. I let the assassins choose their favorite colors. Runaan’s is green, and so is Rayla’s. Mayr’s is bright pink, she says, because she loves moonberries so much.
I'm in a mood---a musical mood. I want to know what TDP OST tracks people revere.
Also this is my wish into the void that I want to see more musical analyses because I don't have a background in music theory to do deep ones please bestow me with your knowledge
