@heartcorrupted asked:Â Huh. They really werenât Dazai. Alright, heâd made a mistake then, and by the look of it a rather common one for them. Fair enough. Perhaps heâd jumped the gun a little.
âApologies, the sight of him rankles my nerves more than a poker game with my family.â Ara pinched the bridge of his nose and took a deep breath. âYou must forgive me for my lack of manners, Dazai tormented a rather close friend of mine for years, I donât know, I think it was a kink or something but either way it was annoying as can be listening to their pathetic attempts at flirting for three years. I despise teenagers. Thankfully after he left the Mafia, Chuuyaâs blood pressure finally went down. Well, after he got over the bomb under the car he left as a parting gift that isâŚâ
At the mention of a name tag, he cocked his head to the side, giving them a once over. âYou could always colour your hair?â he swept his raven locks over his shoulder. âIâve found that helped prevent my Hikari and i from getting mixed up. Though the red eyes and foot height difference probably helps.â He smiled at the younger.
âIâm Arahabaki, or Arashi if you canât pronounce that, and youâŚ?â
(Iâm so sorry Daichi enjoy your irritating new gossip buddy lmao)
...The Mafia? Dazai? Sure, the guy has some questionable morals, but this personâArahabaki, it seems, which is a weird name in all honestyâmust have made a mistake somewhere, right? And yet...that would explain why people are immediately hostile when they see Daichi. They can't tell the difference, and for several of them, their instincts may just be to fight. Which is going to suck if one day someone attacks without warning since fighting back isn't exactly his strong suit...
" I see. That is, ah... There's a lot to unpack there. " And frankly, he doesn't want to look too much into it either. From the past mafia affiliations to the apparent bombing of a vehicle, Daichi's not even sure he'd know where to begin. " You say he just up and left, though? With no problem? And here I thought they tried to kill anyone who wanted to leave... " Although ' tried ' really is the keyword here. It's only logical that even an organization like the Port Mafia couldn't hunt down everyone, but Dazai was something else entirely. That man is far smarter than he has any right to be, so maybe it really isn't all that surprising that he managed to escape unscathed.
At mention of his hair, Daichi's eyes dart inward to look at his bangs, and he cocks his head at the suggestion. Dying his hair would be a possibility, yes, but he's rather fond of the current color. The last he checked, they stood at pretty equal heights as well, so he couldn't really depend on that to get him out of a pinch either. The bandages he could probably do without considering he doesn't require them to be there, and given Dazai's, ah...tendencies, chances are he needs them a lot more than Daichi does. And if that helps people differentiate between them ( and takes the unintentional target off of his back ) then it's certainly worth considering. For now, all he can do is shrug in response; he'll certainly think this over since he really doesn't have much of a choice.
" Uncomfortable realization aside, I'm glad to see we can get along, my talkative friend! " Seems he's already decided they're friends... Because he's genuinely interested or because Arahabaki's presence may be enough to scare off those who mistake him for Dazai? Who's to say! " My name is Daichi, but you're free to call me whenever you want to. "
