Scott Jones is a 27 year old music teacher from New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. He was victim of a devastating crime that has left him paralyzed from the waist down. The music community is coming together with fellow artists and friends to show their support to Scott as he adjusts to his new life. Money raised will go to a trust find set up for Scott via the bank of Nova Scotia to help with medical and rehabilitation expenses. Shot the beloved Canadian indie-rock band Fast Romantics preforming the song “White Lights” off their new album titled Afterlife Blues in a lovely and colourful alley just off of Queen Street West, Toronto. This video was shot with Kevin Hall and Kenny Wong for HeartstringsTV during NXNE 2013.

Today, the Fast Romantics hold their album release party at The Garrison here in Toronto. Make sure to pick up their perfect new record. See you there!

An "unofficial" CMW house show presented by Musi Counts and Last Frame Pictures. HeartstringsTV shot Toronto's Darcys rocking out in the living room at 159 Manning. Here's a video we put together in less than 24 hours for the song "Peg."  Now, for a reflection ... This was definitely one of my favourite shows of CMW. I remember how exhausted we were by the time we made it to this show. We actually ran over to this location after hanging out with The Dirty Nil in Kensington Market for the afternoon. (We made Luke sing in a moving van, and then a Grilled Cheese shop.)  159 Manning was packed to the roof with people and Steam Whistle tall cans. The dude who lives here really knows how to host a party.  This day really made me feel happy to be doing what I love with the people and music that I care so much about. Truly blessed to be able to run around with such a great crew (K.Wong/K.Hall.)

The entire My Father and the Hunter Album is great. I just heard that they are nominated for a Juno as well. The Strumbellas took us to a T Shirt printing place where one of them worked, and this is what we came up with.

Zeus strikes the Horseshoe

The crowd thrashed fists in the air chanting “Zeus! Zeus!” as house lights dimmed and Zeus appeared on stage, opening their set with hushed palm-muting.  Mike O'Brien, Carlin Nicholson, Neil Quin and Rob Drake had just as much fun as the crowd, spilling pop hooks with jangling guitar riffs, keyboard, bass, and a range of vocal harmonies.  Zeus got the crowd moving, clapping, and belting out, “Are you gonna waste my time, are you gonna be mine?” into the night. This, is music to wake up to.
