The biggest and most stressful booking experience of my music-life (or at least it gives booking a tour as a no-name band a run for its money) is finally coming out of my hands and into the world's big dopey faces.

Now I am finally ready to spend 12 hours watching my favorite bands play their hearts out in my living room on a lovely Saturday. I can't wait.

Heat Thunder - Melody, Love & Soul

I'm always impressed by indie bands that can pull together and release an EP in video form. Pennsylvanian songwriter Joe Montone teamed up with his friend and filmmaker Evan Cohen to create this visual metaphor, a dream piece to accompany his record about "the abominable nature of beginning."

He tells me, "our goal was not to necessarily interpret the lyrics, but to further the dimension and vision of the songs as a whole. What we really discovered came out of all the spontaneity and immense surrender it took to finally let the music + film have a life of its own." Heady stuff, the kind of thing left best to wash over you.
