He looked up from his phone, resting back against the man's couch... He definitely didn't ask if he could come over, he just did.
"As you said, it's three in the morning... Why are you awake? Shouldn't you be in bed, Vladdy?"
The young man squinted slightly, gazing up at the elder hybrid. So what if he came unannounced... He felt oddly safer in his home, unlike in FentonWorks, where one wrong move would have him splatted against the floor... Or worse.

He was still adjusting to it... Having his ghost have become sentient was jarring. And so was suddenly being attacked by ghosts who had a vendetta against him, knowing he was weakened.
Hearing the Ghost of himself speak, he glanced over, taking in the glowing eyes and large fangs... Afraid was an understatement.
"How did it even come to this?"
He was cowering while his Ghostly Self stood over him...

Hearing those words from where he was kneeling on then ground, a hand pressed over his side as green oozed between his fingers, he scowled. About twenty feet away was a feral ghost beast, and it managed to snag a claw into the young hero's side...
He glared sharply. Vlad was right, he was the last person Danny wanted to see, or accept help from... But he needed help, whether he wanted it or not.

This brutal heatstorm is exactly the sort of extreme event that scientists have warned of as CO2 levels continue to rise. What's extra-concerning is that these temperatures have been reached with global temperatures just 1.1 C above preindustrial times. Science body, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, judges that we're likely to exceed 1.5C above that level before long. And at current rates we will overshoot a 2C rise - possibly higher. Yet China and India continue to build new coal-fired power stations. And the G7 - Canada, France, Germany, Japan, the UK and the US - won't give a date to phase them out. The UK and others are still drilling for more oil and gas to burn, saying it'll be needed to 2050. It's certainly looking like a climate emergency.
