Para seguir con el arranque de psicodelia pesada y de alta intensidad, Comets on Fire, amantes del envelope filter y poetas electrificados, quemados por las tremulantes llanuras de guitarras entretejidas de la década del 70 y "por muchas otras cosas". Su misión: ser inclasificables. Pasan del proto-punk más rabioso al noise pasando por un blend prog/psyche realmente bueno.

Ethan Miller(la voz aquí) también está en Howlin' Rain(y el baterista, John Moloney, también toca en Sunburned Hand of the Man)
Ben Chasny(guitarrista) originalmente es de Six Organs of Admittance(proyecto folk/noise solista donde eventualmente también tocan los de CoF), actualmente en Rangda(con R. Bishop de Sun City Girls).
