Rae sat in the chippy, writing in her diary while she should be studying. But she was an emotional wreck. Well, actually, she was just boy crazy. After writing for a while, she sighed and leaned her head against the wall. “I’m mad. There’s no bloody way he could like me...” She sighed and closed her eyes. 

That’s when she heard his voice. She wasn’t sure she’d heard it at first, but then he repeated himself. “Oh..Archie.” She cleared her throat and quickly sat up. Her food was untouched, which in itself was a rare occurrence. Oh God, please tell me he didn’t hear that.

Rae sat in the chippy, in her own little world. It was her current favorite place to study for college exams and the like. Oh God, This is impossible. College was hard. And harder for her, because her mind didn’t work like most people’s. everything equaled anxiety. It wasn’t her fault, but it felt like it was. Tests terrified her, and the aspect of failure made her want to vomit. Her mum didn’t help much, either.

She sighed and decided to take a break, hitting pause on her music. As she looked up, she recognized the boy walking into the shop. Her stomach tied itself into a knot, and her heart was in her throat. Oh God, please don’t see me. I look awful...please don’t see me...please.
