This was certainly new. Mayberry had settled into a routine in giving control over to Hecate. But now knowing that the goddess wanted to switch it up and relinquish control over to her?

Well, if there’s one thing that could be said with complete confidence it’s that Hellsa sure seems happy to see her. Reaching out to clasp both her hands around one of Hecate’s, she leans close to the goddess, a smile playing on her lips.

They either hadn’t noticed she was sewing or didn’t care about the possible dangers a sharp sewing needle would bring them. Probably a combination of both. Regardless, Venus draped themself over her lap in a dramatical fashion, now lying on their back so they could look up at her with a sleepy gaze.

“Maaaaaaaybeee....” They dragged out their words, half-lidded eyes perusing her. “Maybe I’m jus’ a little tired.”

Mayberry was never a party person. Sure, she had the social skills to converse and mingle if she needed to, but it wasn’t necessarily her idea of fun. She could only take so many fake smiles and shallow conversations until she decided to head out towards the balcony with a drink in hand for some relative peace.

Taking a sip of her cocktail she swiped from one of the servers passing by, the teacher let out a sigh as she gazed out into the night sky.
