✗ The Story:
The Sanz Flores family immigrated from Spain to Florida, and from Florida to Mexico in the early 1800s. The head of the family established a textile factory, had two sons, and died alongside his eldest via cholera. The youngest son, Emiliano, inherited the factory and married a local woman, Carmen, who bore two beautiful daughters, Rosa and Valeria, and died of puerperal fever two days later.
Years passed, filled with peace and prosperity.
One night during a furious tropical storm, a man sought shelter in the Flores home. The family, heavy with Christian values, thought nothing of sheltering the stranger. He knew the Bible, and could quote his favorite passages verbatim. In a show of gratitude, he would play for them his guitar, and recite poetry, and would assist the cook with every meal.
And Rosa adored him. Her father didn't approve. A traveling musician was not husband material, but he thought nothing of it, assuming the man would disappear by the time the storm passed.
And he did, leaving behind a weeping Rosa, clutching her abdomen and a dangerous secret. Her sister Valeria, managed to talk her out of disappearing in the middle of the night, and insisted their father would understand.
But Hector almost never cried, and no one could agree on what the baby smelled like. Flowers, said his mother. Mint, said his aunt. The sky before a storm, said his grandfather.
The priest, who had held the infant the day of his baptism, smelled sweetened milk. That day, his mother nearly drowned her baby on accident when he screamed for the first time when touched by holy water.
As an adult, Hector was regarded as a Casanova. A hopeless daydreamer with too much love and curiosity for one lover to handle. His wandering tendencies, eventually, resulted in the death of his favorite companion. Slipping from the grasp of his lover's murderer, Hector fled to the sanctuary of Nachim's ship, developing a phobia of stepping foot on land.

✗ Cambion Abilities & Weakness:
A natural sexual insight via empathic reading.
Feeds off of sexual energy, causing boosts of strength, endurance, and healing for himself and his partner.
At his discretion, skin, breath, voice-to-skin, and sustained eye contact cause concupiscence or drowsiness (lethargy/languor).
Sleeping partners will always have restful sleep and oftentimes, erotic dreams.
Astral projection via unconsciousness, roaming either his sleeping partner's demesne or the realm called Dreaming.
Hector has decelerated aging, but is otherwise mortal, and can be killed by mortal means.
Has a natural aversion to all things hallowed, though holy imagery cause no physical harm unless by one with true faith.
