Meet Huckleberry Hound's somewhat rambunctuous nephew, Hector
To give you some idea as to what he's like:

To put it simply, you might say Hector Hound is Huckleberry Hound's nephew who may be a bit on the shy side, but can get to be a little rambunctuous when things dictate it. How he came into Huck's life is a bit on the foggy side, but suffice it to say such goes back to when he was dating she who would become his doting wife, Clementine.
As for how often Hector meets up with Uncle Huckleberry, let's say it's generally every fortnight for a weekend and a fortnight every summer. Hector's parents are likely close relatives of Huckleberry (perhaps someone out there might want to offer up backstory here), and at any rate are quite likable and appreciate Hector, allowing for some reasonable marks in his schoolwork.
Even if they're somewhat eccentric, howbeit stopping short of being outright jerks of a boorish sort such as would be common out in the country. On a few occasions, Uncle Huckleberry has invited as much Hector's parents as Hector for the odd day out, and there's even been times that Hector's been seen as an attention-seeker at the Character Convocations.
Oh yes, has anybody noticed that Hector Hound is on especially close terms with Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy, sharing a common fondness for grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup?
This may be but a start, fellow Hanna-Barberians, but still, it might not be a bad idea to help further Hector Hound's personality given some background as above. Responses and reblogging would help, especially from the Huckleberry Hound crowd.
