Asking the universe if anyone would be interested in an Alpha Baelor & Alpha Maekar x Omega Dunk soulmate poly fic where Dunk goes unpresented until the Trial and it turns out ho wait Baelor and Maekar are his fated mates and now he’s an Omega who is very distressed about that idea because the laws and the Faith are very clear that Omegas can’t be knights and there’s likely going to be a lot of body/gender dysphoria on his end because of it (also he has had a cis male body for 20+ years and was under the impression he was just a late presenting Alpha or Beta so the dramatic change in his physiology and his life trajectory is gonna be understandably traumatic).

Lightbulb went off in my head that the synergy between Dunk and Baelor and also Dunk and Maekar is that Maekar is the Final Boss of princely privilege but also of ‘the master of his craft (war, battle, knighthood) whom the protege wishes to impress’. Maekar is Ser Arlan at his most *clout to the ear* moods. Dunk is definitely working out his secondhand daddy issues with Mister Grump. But Baelor also lowkey reminds Dunk of Ser Arlan because Ser Arlan exemplified chivalry where it counted. Baelor reminds Dunk of Ser Arlan in his most gregarious and mentor-like moods.
