“ you’ve never kissed anyone before? “ // zyian x sobin neM ELE
her fingertips were dead frozen at the very tip of her hands, trembling slightly from the sudden movement that they suddenly fell with. they were so close now that sobin could finally take her time to find out which shade of brown zyian's eyes was, but she couldn't stare at them for too long without giving out her own. the smile that formed on her lips was almost inevitable, she tilted her head to the side and reset her head on the couch trying to hide all the secondhand embarrassment she was feeling from herself. she was reaching for him, aching to be touched even the most oblivious and innocent acts of affection would do. and somehow, deep down, she wasn't looking to be right in her heart, only to be heard and mostly to feel longed for as much as she longed for him. yet, ziyan was clueless most of the time, or instead played very well the part of being one of the most idiot men she had ever met, all while being the handsome boy he was.
this is it, this is the sign. kiss me, kiss me! — she was yelling inside, her eyes closed deeply and her face hidden facing the couch, her mind a turmoil of emotions. a wave of heat came crashing down on her again, making her whole body feel small and shiver still clung by his side. what the hell were they playing at with this? sobin made it clear from day one she was interested in being profoundly in love with him, she was hopeless and living her youth. he was cute, single, and very much straight — she checked the last one by inquiring about the closest people in his life and there was no indication that he intended on backing her off either, then she didn't understand what he was playing at. but instead of handing him the easy bait, sobin would tiptoe around facts making him straddle along. so far so good. "it's not that big of a deal." she said, making a frown after finally lifting her face and looking everywhere except his gorgeous face. "and i'm not a prude, i'm just- young, and no one ever really..." sobin trailed off, having finally noticed how close they were sitting again and how her hand rested almost naturally on his.
they were taken back by that, small — elusive touch, without any meaning having spoken out loud yet. both staring, dumbfounded, by their hands playing with each other while not daring to move one inch in case they would break off the spell or something. sobin obviously could sense the heat rising again, she could swear it wasn't only her own this time, which made her move her hand away in an instant and use it to hide a muffled chuckle. "it's fine, i don't wanna kiss just anyone too." she wanted to say with all the words, that she wanted to kiss him! but she didn't have to now, not after everything and not after that either. it really didn't matter when or how, she was young and smart and she knew very well that if she really wanted to she could just about kiss anyone that was pretty or worthy enough. but she was also innocent and a romantic at heart, so of course, she was saving it for someone that she truly cared about and she was hoping for the feelings in her heart to romanticize the act into something out of a love song. regardless of how she felt for zyian, she wouldn't give up on keeping herself from making him understand first how special he would be to her.
and then wanting so desperately to change the subject from herself before she would so easily wind up admitting all her feelings for him, sobin added quickly while smiling brightly at him: "oppa, tell me how was your first kiss? enlight me with your experience." she was known for her quick thinking and uprising personality so it was no mistake what she was doing, she wanted to hear who were the girls before her and how to behave like someone that he might end up to like in the future. sobin had this farfetched idea that just because zyian walked along the popular path with the popular kids that he was one of them as well, when in fact they were both cute outcasts playing for the big leagues. perhaps that was why conversation flew so well when they were together and why they could understand between the lines, why they were so drawn to these stupid flirtation moments. "did you get butterflies?" sobin's eyes were glowing as she made eye contact with him, the faint of a smile still playing at her lips and her hopeful heart beating out of her chest like a beating drum. if there were any insects on her stomach right now, they were definitely drowning in her own anticipation and sorrow.
