And yet, she persists, grows, overcomes, earns it every time. Because she cares. Because being Spoiler, Batgirl MEANS SOMETHING TO HER. She wasn’t raised in the fight, not the way Cassandra and Damian were (fucked up as their origins are). She honestly didn’t have to do anything at all. Could have kept her head down, protected herself. But she couldn’t. Because she’s got a heart of gold, a spine the equivalent of a baseball bat with nails stuck on it, and she genuinely won’t let people get away with bullshit. She’ll do whatever it takes. I love her.

Damian was my first Robin, and I shit you not, it was because of Gotham Academy.
I knew of the concept of Batman, Joker, Robin, Gotham. Got super into reading Lumberjanes, then checked out Gotham Academy because of the crossover comics.
Which means Maps Mizoguchi (my goat) was my second Robin.
