Deities formed as colonies develop abilities similar to their colonizer. 

In this instance, as someone who used to be a colony under the Witch of Light, a deity is bound to develop certain light-based abilities, sometimes conceptual, sometimes literal. Unprecedented strength and a powerful sense of justice coupled with fiery passion calls for a very... heat based set of abilities.

Meanwhile, under the Witch of Darkness, deities formed will usually have darkness-based abilities. When you can’t turn to humans for comfort sometimes it’s easier to turn to wildlife. And generally speaking, that isn’t a bad thing! But toxic behavior is easily spread if left unchecked. So I wonder how that translates into a deities’ abilities?
