The Singapore Sling (Dale DeGroff's Recipe)

One of my all time favorite drinks, despite being a bit of a pain in the ass. The Singapore Sling's a drink with a long history and a fair bit of mystery, as well as the only reason I keep Benedictine and Cherry Heering in my home.

1 1/2 oz London Dry Gin (Bombay Sapphire)

1/2 oz Cherry Heering

1/4 oz Benedictine

1/4 oz triple sec (Cointreau)

1 1/2 oz pineapple juice (Trader Joe's Cold Pressed)

1/2 oz lime juice (fresh)

1/6 oz grenadine (Liber & Co.)

Dash Ango (subbed Miracle Mile Ume Bitters)

Shake with ice, strain into glass with ice.

Beautifully fruity, but with a complexity that other overwhelmingly sweet versions of this drink lack. Worth the effort, and the extra bottles.
