Yoshi's Island: Essential luggage
Name: Hefty Goonie and Bowling Goonie
Debut: Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island
Say it with me folks: this is an ORB. Just completely round. Utterly spherical. Absolutely circular. 10 out of 10.
Can we do better, though? Can we get larger than this? Well I’m glad you asked!
Name: Moltz the Very Goonie
Debut: Yoshi’s Island DS
OH YEAH BABY THAT’S WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT
Ah. Sorry about that.
Hey if you don't mind me askin' do you use custom brushes when you draw or are they just the default ones?
Hi Anonymous, thank you for your patience.
I was planning on making a short vid for this ask, but getting repeatedly sick the past few months cancelled that idea quick. :/
To answer, this is my Procreate toolbox:
I use 6b Pencil for my sketch layers. Typically, I make about 3-4 sketches, mirroring with each layer. I tend to use colors for my sketches for brightness when I get to inking.
The Chalk pencil is my sketch eraser. I found that using the 6b for erasing leaves unnatural jagged edges, and frankly, the chalk eraser gives me smoother cleanup.
Syrup and Syrup eraser are my inking pens. Compared to the normal round pens, syrup has a nice faded outer edge, and erases itself very well.
For my colors, I mark the line layer as a reference, move the color layer under it, and go nuts with the fill tool.
Shading goes on top of the color layer as a clipping layer, to prevent overlap outside of the figure.
Well, thats how I was working last year, anyways.
Its been a while since I made a vid.
I want to bring more foundational coloring and shading techniques into my work. Blending and all that.
...Here’s a Hefty Goonie I was going to use for the original vid:
I was also gonna draw Raphael the Raven with hyperrealistic feet, so maybe not making the vid was for the best.
Anyways, I hope you are doing well, and the good that you do comes back to you. :)
A Hefty Goonie and their babies!
...Wait...
@nintendo
Please make Goonie plushies, they’re so cute and underrated and I love them.
