Captain’s log, 202005.03... 9/365Donny Hathaway’s orchestral piece “I Love The Lord; He Heard My Cry Pts. 1-2″, which segues into an uplifting song, “Someday We’ll All Be Free”, which still brings a tear to my eyes upon listening, is some of the most beautiful piece of musical work I’ve ever heard regardless of his mental health status that ultimately took his life. I’ve owned this particular album on CD, and without a doubt, Donny’s vocals is absolutely amazing and very influential. In my humble opinion, it will be completely blasphemous to listen to just one or the other, because it supposed to be heard together as one entire piece. It is like listening to only one movement, and disregarding the rest of it completely lol 

Lyricist, Edward Howard, said: “What was going through my mind at the time was Donny, because Donny was a very troubled person. I hoped that at some point he would be released from all that he was going through. There was nothing I could do but write something that might be encouraging for him."

Y'all I never felt as good as I feel about myself now in my late 30's then when I was teenager🤷🏽‍♀️. I battle with low-self esteem so bad when I was younger and smaller😜😞.No excuse for not loosing weight because I wanna be healthy in my body.
