ALLY DREW ME AND ASHLEY FOR MY BIRTHDAY HEHEHEHE .... EHEHEGEHEHEGE
(it based on this :) )
she attempts to wrap her head around it, now more than ever: the airtight independence, the unwavering dedication to a self-made, righteous law with no legs left to stand on except those who survive & impress the jedi code. to mandate and perpetuate what it means to honor and uphold something that grows and nurtures as a part of your very soul - sure, there's some choice in the matter, but ... is there really?
eliza has kept to herself more than usual, present company and time of no exception. she never allows her eyes nor hands stray to arra, remaining all too focused on reassembling the dissected pieces of her blaster on the table before her. it stings - the intangible reminder that the way she feels about the other woman could hardly be reciprocated (or so she thinks). who is eliza to stand in the way of ambition & creed? even for all the impulsivity in the world, she'd never expect compromise from another's heart in place of her own.
perhaps if she had a bit more respect for any sense of authority, she'd leave it there; eliza's hands falter with the metal bits she drops to the table, first breaching the silence between herself and arra with a single, broken syllable - it takes her a moment of restraint before speaking up again, gaze finally turning on her closest companion, "are you ... lonely?"
