Mimiera was a gentle soul. She wouldn’t hurt a fly. Unless that fly hurt her Mottie of course. Mim was always a free spirit who broke the mold. She was kind, funny and a friend to all. She loved to laugh and loved making people laugh. She had tremendous power but unfortunately very little control over it. She cared very little about magic because she didn’t need it. She just needed her Mottie.

Mottson was a very quiet, reserved and mysterious young man. Others found themselves afraid or intimidated by him. A renowned genius, Mott dreamed of living among the stars and seeing the universe it’s in entirety. A proud and talented ship captain, Mott spent a lot of his time in the sky, leaving Mim at home alone, who would dream of the day she got to join him up there.

Mim always knew Mott was…different. That’s why she liked him so much. While others were put off by his cold demeanor and high intellect, Mim wanted nothing more than to spend every second of every moment with her precious Mottie. Initially annoyed by Mim’s overbearing behavior, Mott grew used to her doting affection and found himself falling in love with her. Much like his estranged son, Mott spent much of his life alone and had what you might call, “poor social skills” Mott wasn’t good at reciprocating love nor was he good at expressing his emotions, good or bad. But Mim didn’t mind. She was just happy to have him.

They lived a normal, humble life. Mim wanted to be a teacher and began practicing her studies so she could find work as an educator since Mott worked long hours and sometimes would be gone for days. Mim wanted to start a family with Mott, but with Mott’s unusual schedule and unstable emotions, Mim wasn’t sure that could ever happen.

But then one day, Mim was so happy she couldn’t stop crying. That’s when she told Mott the good news.

They were going to be parents.

While Mim was ecstatic about finally becoming a mother, Mott didn’t share her enthusiasm. A kid was never part of his plan. But his love for Mim held him together. Mott had big dreams. Dreams he never told anyone about. He was closer than ever to making them come true but….

A kid wasn’t part of the plan.
