Fill In The Emotion and Object/ Location
(Emotion, Heightening, Gifting, Framing & Justification)
Similar to accusations, accuse your scene partner of an emotion when you mention a location or object.
For example: “Why do you get so ______ (Emotion) when I mention ______ (Place or Object).”
Example of the example “Why do you get so excited every time I mention the grocery store.”
Once one improviser has gifted the other with an emotion and reason for the emotion, the other improviser should play into the emotion they were gifted and justify why they have that emotion.
For example Player 1 might ask “Why do you get so excited every time I mention the grocery store” and Player 2 might respond while acting excited “ I get excited because I have a crush on the deli meats guy”.
This scene should continue to play out with the player who set the accusation continuing to gift their scene partner by continuing to introduce the idea of the grocery store or similar grocery like topics that would get their scene partner to continue to get more excited.
For example Player 1 might talk about all the cheese and meats the deli guy is cutting which would in turn makes Player 2 get even more excited.
These can be 3 line scenes or can continue full length with the idea being Player 1 will continue to gift lines of dialogue that will heighten the emotion while Player 2 will double down on the emotion they were gifted.
