This and Thorin, please? :)
You're standing before the entire population of Erebor, to be wed to the man who has your heart and your soul.
Thorin is looking at you, his eyes beginning to fill with tears. Your heart is pounding in both terror and excitement.
You lift you hands palm to palm, and then slips your fingers between each others. The binding ceremony is about to begin, and then you will finally be one with Thorin.
(Thank you for sending this in, love. I hope this was right and that I did the game correctly.)
For the Writer asks 8, 11 and 19? <3
8) Where do you take your inspiration from?
Lots of places. It can be a scene I've just seen in a tv show, an image on Pinterest, a phrase I've read in a book, a real-life event or situation, and so on. Examples? Yrsa, the main character in Blame It on Cider (the travelling herbalist) popped into my head during a mountain hike. I started wondering what kind of character could lead a life on the road... and you know what happened next ;)
11) Have you ever amended a story due to criticisms you’ve received after posting it?
Sadly (?), I have never been criticized for my stories... yet. Well, almost. I really appreciate constructive feedback and wouldn't mind receiving it. The only critical remarks I sometimes receive come from my betas (thank you @legolasbadass and @linasofia 🥰) before I post my works so I fix any errors before they get to my lovely readers. But if the criticisms were to focus on my creative choices ("Why is she red-haired? I want a blonde OC!", "I want this story to end differently", "This is wrong, I want Thorin to hate vanilla ice cream and go for the strawberry-flavoured ones in this scene"), I would most probably respectfully decline them. Anyway, if the criticisms make sense and refer, for example, to the inherent logic of the story (or worldbuilding), I'll be happy to receive them from my readers, so that I can improve and become a better writer. However, there was this one time when someone was upset that I introduced canon characters who are LGBTQ+ in my fic, and this is the kind of criticism I choose to ignore.
19) Are there any stories that you’ve written that you’d really love to do a sequel to?
*Looks at the humongous pile of my WIPs and weeps*
Oh Mahal, YES.
All Is Fair, How to Kiss a Fairy, Thistle...
Could anyone please help me win a lottery so I don't have to work and can focus on writing fics instead? Thank you 💙💙💙
Thank you for the ask @heilith 🥰 This was fun!

Thank you Heilith! I’ve been feeling very low today, and this is quite nice to pop up in my inbox!
Hey! Could you do 3 and 7 for Fic writing asks? :)
Heyyyy...
3. Do you write fics from start or finish, or jump around?
As much as possible, I try to write from start to...middle of the story where it dies. Sometimes, I write one scene or a part ahead (like in my blursed AU) but usually, I write as the story develops.
7. Which part of writing do you struggle with most?
Rereading. Posting.
The story goes like this: I start something, I am motivated, I write thousands of words. I post one chapter, maybe two...I go on writing, but I somehow can't bring myself to read what I've written, let alone think about putting it out there. Rinse and repeat with other stories.
I am terrible and I cannot explain why it is like this. Whatever story you might have read of mine that was abandoned in a ditch; I can promise you that there are between 1 - 5 chapters written and sitting in a document that I might well never touch again.
Then, there are short (mainly smutty) stories I've written that will never see the light of day either...
Thank you for these asks!!! Lots of love!
Into the Light
Aaand after a lengthy pause we’re collaborating again! :) Fun!

A piece for the Tolkien Secret Santa Exchange of 2019!
@officialtolkiensecretsanta, for @heilith!
The piece is called “Blood of My Countrymen,” which I made about the brothers Boromir and Faramir of Gondor because both my giftee and I love the dynamics at play. I love the differences in their personality of how and why they would take a knee, when their sword would be bloody - raised high in victory, or lowered for a mercy stroke - and yet so similar, on the same ground and bound by the same blood. I also love Tolkien’s nod at “strength of a different kind” which underscores his theme that all should fight like Boromir for the honor of their country, for the pride of their families, for the protection of their peoples. And all should know when to lay down arms, like Faramir, to love only what the bright sword defends, and not the sword and its representation. The halos are also purposeful, Boromir framed as a saint in profile, but Faramir pulled down over his eyes like an angel. Boromir’s halo is illumination for his own face, but Faramir’s is to light the way in dark places.
The metaphors could go on, but I’ll stop for now and simply say I love the interplay and dynamics of these two characters, and it was a joy to work on the piece for such a fun gift-giving. Not super happy with background, and may tweak it in coming days, but wanted to make sure this got up well in time for Hanukkah and Christmas.
Happy Tolkien exchange! May it be a light for you in this season of lights <3
WIP tag game
Tagged by the lovely @heilith [whose writing is #goals] to post the last sentence I wrote in a WIP and tag more writers based on the number of words in the sentence.
You glance up at the screen to find that Darcy is approaching Lizzie through the sun-drenched fields and the movie is going to end soon and really if you don’t say something now-- even after the perfect opening that Cassian has given you-- then you deserve to be left pining after him forever.
(From a Cassian x Reader college!AU that I’ve been working on over the past week.)
I think that was a rather lengthy sentence and I can’t think of people to tag because most writers I know have either already been tagged in this/are on hiatus. But, in case either of you want to do this- tagging @lancestellations and @gondorgirl01 [If not, I’m so sorry- ignore this.]
