WIP tag game
Tagged by the lovely @heilith [whose writing is #goals] to post the last sentence I wrote in a WIP and tag more writers based on the number of words in the sentence.
You glance up at the screen to find that Darcy is approaching Lizzie through the sun-drenched fields and the movie is going to end soon and really if you don’t say something now-- even after the perfect opening that Cassian has given you-- then you deserve to be left pining after him forever.
(From a Cassian x Reader college!AU that I’ve been working on over the past week.)
I think that was a rather lengthy sentence and I can’t think of people to tag because most writers I know have either already been tagged in this/are on hiatus. But, in case either of you want to do this- tagging @lancestellations and @gondorgirl01 [If not, I’m so sorry- ignore this.]
i've been saying this show was about keith this entire time tbh. I love my boy but it sucks that he's their main priority and that the other characters get sidelined for his development. the singular character with the most focus is keith and i love him but i'm over it. s3 had such potential to be a lance season but? where's my hunk development? what about coran? allura? call me a bitter lance stan but w/e, the writer's are always gonna focus on keith and tbh? that sucks.
it’s definitely frustrating and i don’t actually think this was the case until season 2. but tbh, as soon as i heard the galra keith theories floating around i knew that this was going to happen, just not how badly it was going to be done.
this is also definitely done because in the previous reboots keith had been the leader of voltron from the beginning. he arguably had the most depth out of any of the characters and was the romantic lead (if i remember from the wiki pages i read) as well. fanboys latch onto keith because he’s the one in the forefront, hes ambiguous in his ethnicity, and is the most traditionally masculine in the cast. of course the show is going to cater to keith because of these things, because their target demographic is young boys, older former fans of the previous series, and then women. with a predominantly male writing team, there’s not going to be deep emotional arcs, there’s going to be big robot fights and explosions and shit like that. they want to make money. keith is where the money is. fandom proves that. the writers prove that. even interviewers who only ask about keith prove that.
its shitty!!!! its really really shitty tbqh
