𝐇𝐄𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐘𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐔𝐒.
— FACE : utp, must be poc.
Descended from the purest love, they told you—one so removed from wordliness that its very act mirrored a swan's flight. What a load of rot, you thought. Your mother was no bird when she received Zeus, nor was the God-King shedding any feathers. When he touched her, it was skin on skin; but oh, no less divine for it. She told you the story over and over. Your entire childhood was nursed in the shadow of that tale, of that love, tender & blinding. A love that lasted less than a fortnight before Tyndareus reclaimed his wife. He insisted she was his after the laws of men, laws which seem to bind even Gods at times. Zeus himself was not powerful enough to make a woman less than property.
✹ CLYTEMNESTRA — Your father's true child, not touched by any God; you both used to listen to the same story your mother spun, a golden thread of wool that united you as children. Now, after her death, the fabric is wearing thin. Do they resent you, you wonder, this half-sibling of yours? Or do they pity what your father made of you: an accolade to his shame, a snare meant to seize riches he cannot earn & respect he is not due.
✹ THESEUS — A dark, treacherous road, one you are wary to take even while knowing it might lead to freedom. They were the first to outwit your father, conjuring a plan long before it dawned on him. Steal Helen, the newest star in Zeus' sky, the volatile light, and you steal the keys to the world. You can leverage, extort, drain the coffers whole. The scheme failed the first time; you were not let out of sight. But the fledgling idea took root.
✹ APHRODITE — You worship them, not as a priestess, but in terms more hidden & exacting than anyone would guess. In their realm you might find what you've been seeking, the ardor that guided you since birth. The constellation of desire you set your compass by. Yet you are not blind; you fear their plans for you are far more nefarious.
✹ PARIS — Only the slightest ebb of rumour, gossamer-thin, reaches you from beyond the sea. You know the men of Mycenae are currying favor with your father, credit to bolster their trade, but what does Troy win from this? Your hear advisors told King Priam to retreat, abandon the contest, only his son insisted. His son, pledged to a goddess to win.
