HELEN SHAPIRO “Tops with Me”（「ゴールデン・ヒットとシャピロ」）（NIPPON COLUMBIA LP） 1962年6月に日本コロンビアからリリースされたHelen Shapiroの1st Album。 Helen Shapiroの国内盤と言えば、東芝音工からのリリースの印象が強いですが、英国でのColumbiaの発売権を当時はEMIが持っていたので、EMI所属でもColumbiaレーベルだったHelenのデビューアルバムは日本コロンビアからのリリースになったものと推測されます。 本アルバムには12曲収録されていますが、Neil Sedakaの”Little Devil”, Elvisの”Are You Lonesome Tonight?”, Connie Francisの”Lipstick on Your Collar”, Bobby Darinの”Beyond the Sea “など当時のヒット曲のカヴァーが収録されています。 なお、裏ジャケは本国UK盤の解説の日本語訳が載っています。 #helenshapiro #topswithme #ヘレンシャピロ #ゴールデンヒットとシャピロ https://www.instagram.com/p/COe1l3uMKlK/?igshid=114xtdgmcb7h5

V.A. "ODEON DREAM HIGHLIGHTS"（オデオン・ドリーム・ハイライツ）（JPN TOSHIBA RED WAX LP） 多分1960年代初頭に東芝音楽工業からリリースされたODEON系の女性シンガー、Alma Cogan, Helen Shapiro, Carol DeeneのUK3人に、ドイツのConny Froboessの曲を2曲ずつ8曲収めた10inch LP。 Alma CoganとHelen Shapiroは勿論知っていたけど、Carol DeeneとConny Froboessは今の今まで知らなかったです。Conny Froboessは戦後西ドイツを代表する女優でアイドル歌手だったそうです。日本でも彼女のレコードは何枚かリリースされていたみたいです。盤もジャケも経年相応の劣化状態ですが、ジャケのデザインが秀逸なので購入。安かったです。 なお、このレコードがリリースされた時は、英EMIはまだ独ODEONの傘下にあったみたいだけど、いつの間にかEMIがODEONを買収したそうです。多分あの4人組のおかげですね。 #odeondreamhighlights #almacogan #helenshapiro #caroldeene #connyfroboess #アルマコーガン #ヘレンシャピロ #キャロルディーン #コニーフロベス #赤盤 #東芝赤盤 #10インチレコード #10吋レコード https://www.instagram.com/p/CNW92fKs3zn/?igshid=k0ahg4jbep3v
