How to Use Your Phone Less
If you are addicted to your phone and want to use it less, here are some helpful tips. Phones are designed to be addictive, with endless scrolling functions and colours.
Reorganize your phone. Put productive apps on your home page, then others apps that could be a distraction (like social media or games) on other pages. For me, I put the productive apps like settings, clock, photos, dictionary, calculator, notes, etc. on the home page, my social media apps on the second, and games on the third.)
Turn off your push notifications, except for apps where another person is actually trying to contact you, like texts or e-mails. For games, turn them off.
Turn off endless scrolling if you can. It helps.
Put your phone on grayscale mode. Designers use colours to draw your eyes to be attentive at something, like push notification icons. They use brighter colours, like red. For iPhones, go to Settings>General>Accessibility>Display Accommodations>Colour Filters>Swipe the slides thing turn it on>Grayscale
These things really helped me to use my phone less. These ideas were based off a video from Vox on youtube. You can find it here
