Whenever I start a new sketchbook, I like to do a podcast related drawing. #3 is inspired by my favorite arc of my favorite podcast, Unprepared Casters: The King Is Dead.

This was an art request for the NPC Draw and Scrawl, a fan project to encourage people to donate to the charity stream in exchange for fanart or fanfic, and this was inspired by the prompt "your most unhinged idea for arc 8 or arc 11", which for me became "Helga Hatebad in a death metal band" because…. why not lol

the absolute chaos gremlin energy radiating from annie “hates the monarchy and thinks it’s incompetent and useless” wintersummer, isadora “is technically part of the monarchy but still thinks it’s incompetent and useless” eirik, and helga “doesn’t know much about monarchy but is down to clown” hatebad running around the castle, threatening and murdering people is simply phenomenal and i love them for it

I found out how hatebad was spelled during arc 6 because that was when i got into unprepared casters tumblr and when i tell you that i was fuming that there was a pun about the family with love and joy in the name versus a family with hate and bad in the name and nobody told me???

and now its like oh yeah, there’s an added layer there, because the family with love and joy in the name is an evil capitalist empire and the family with hate and bad in the name is working to stop them from gaining complete and total power!
