51. What’s something you dislike about FCs/Play-Bys?

Finding the right one, especially if you are playing a poc, is extremely hard sometimes. I went through two fcs before finding Chris Lee (Li Yuchun), and unfortunately I went the easy route and used Korean fcs because there were much more to work from. But I realized that was wrong and also being the perfectionist I am, I wanted someone who was both accurate and reflected Jubilee’s personality. It was actually a photo of actress Zhou Xun that Li had taken that led me to her. So it ended up being pure luck. But I find that finding just the right person can be frustrating as hell. But also really rewarding when you find the one that just clicks! I’m here now with over 4.5k icons of her so it’s not for a lack of material to work with. It’s merely a matter of knowing where to look.

59. What/Who is a character you think you would like to roleplay? What’s currently stopping you from roleplaying them?

Fred Burkle/Illyria from Angel. Let me tell you something, I love Fred. Loving, caring, awkward science nerd Texan Fred. What a precious cinnamon roll this one. I loved Angel (even more than Buffy) and that was my jam in the early 2000′s. But it’s been so long since I had a proper sit down to marathon it again, and my Jubilee muse is so demanding that I don’t think I could do it. But I would love to. Maybe one day.

for those of us unfamiliar with the blacklist, but fans of your writing, is there somewhere you recommend we look for background information other than your blog?

hmm, that’s a great question too!

i will confess that a lot of background information that directly pertains to jake is limited in actual canon — if that is your curiosity — i hunted for what has been revealed and did a lot of my own headcanons from those details. what is revealed about him thus far outside of more current data, aka his history and past, is only a few small things here and there. in that, my jake is somewhat ‘canon divergent’ and or composed of a lot of my own personal headcanon.

now if you’re talking more IN GENERAL about the blacklist as a show and fandom? there are some resources you can utilize to get yourself more familiar with it’s background and story, without letting me rant to you all over skype:

the blacklist wikia page — though sadly i don’t believe this has been updated with much of season 3′s new content and learned facts.

theblacklistnbc.com — i have not yet done a lot of digging on this site yet, but a friend told me it’s pretty solid for info.

fuckyeahtheblacklistedits — this is probably the best source for gifsets, fanart and edits!

i may be a little biased, but if you haven’t watched the show? i definitely recommend it! if my memory serves you can catch season 1 & 2 on netflix still. (also if you want a great red to follow? @notamonstxr! and as for liz? @flamereforged!)
