He’s cried plenty over many things.

Cried over his father not being alive anymore.

Cried over losing good friends in the line of work.

Cried over people he’s fallen for.

The fact that he’ll never have a normal life, not just to be or look ‘normal’ but just the general fact that he can’t have those normal little tidbits.

He mourns a life that he’s never had or can afford to have because ridding the world of monsters is all he could ever afford to have, or at least is what he feels he’s been put to do.

☆ You are not a fan of loud noises. And Hellboy knows that well

☆ Sometimes it can be the raising of a voice or simply just a loud bang. Lord knows the fear during thunderstorms

☆ Whenever this happens Hellboy is instantly by your side and ready to help you. Sometimes when he is alone during a mission or in his room and hears a bang, he will still look for you even though you aren’t there.

☆ At first he wasn't sure how to calm you down. But after asking Abe and doing some research he was prepared for when it happens again

☆ Hellboy will determine how scared you’d be from the sudden loud noise and figure out what method would work best.

☆ If it’s a small reaction he'll reassure you or tell you a light joke to distract you from the fear. If it’s a slightly bigger reaction he'll make sure your attention is on nothing but him and talk with you. Now if it’s a huge reaction, Hellboy will take you away from the area and help you with your breathing. If required (if you want it) he will hold you until you’ve calmed down

☆ Yelling is a different circumstance. He makes sure never to yell at you because he doesn't want to scare you with the volume of his voice. Also the thought of you being scared of him crushes him like no other.

☆ Everyone there knows not to raise their voice at you because of your fear. But unfortunately there are certain occasions when it happens with the new guys.

☆ When this happened Hellboy saw red. He could see you were on the verge of breaking down and he was about to rip the guy a new one.

☆ He will gently pull you to him, placing you so you have one ear over his heart (since he's afraid to hurt you with right hand of doom) and his hand covering your other ear. Hellboy will hold you there till you calm down while in a threateningly calm voice, tell the person who made you upset to kindly fuck off and never to yell at you again.

☆ Although that never stops him from getting that person alone after.
