You ever on a chromebook, just typing along and writing, you've got over 10k words so far, then on wrong move and poof. It's gone. I can't get it back I've tried so many things.
If you've ever done that, how did you get it back it you ever got it back? Or did you have to re write it. Or did I just have a teeny little brain lag that can't be undone...

I don't personally have a chromebook (i have an HP), but if you have any IT stores or IT support at school I'd maybe ask them? Idk I'm not super tech savvy like that!
Good rule of thumb though is keep multiple backups of everything! I have most of my files stored on Google drive, on physical hard drives, OneDrive, and then even on my phone!
I back up what I'm working on at least once a week, and if you store on OneDrive, it backs it up while you're working on it! That might be just a part of Microsoft though.
I've personally never lost a file like that, knock on wood, but I'm really sorry to hear about yours! /gen
