I believe that any God can answer any prayer and that it's sometimes best to ask the God or Gods you have the most affinity for but I also believe all Gods should be honored especially the Olympians and that what they are the Gods of doesn't mean that they only have powers in that domain but rather that they're involvement and importance to those things are being acknowledged. What do you guys think?

Do you think we should fear the gods? Like, I don't feel afraid of them, I feel awe and love and respect for them. And I feel love from them. My dad was talking to me about how naturally you'd fear a being that powerful(hes Christian) but to me you fear things you think would cause you harm. I don't think the gods would want to hurt me so I don't fear them like that. Should I?
No I don’t think we should fear the gods. To me I can’t love something I fear. I mean that just seems super unhealthy, even if we are speaking about gods.
I think we can have respect, know our place, and understand their power without fearing them.
Personally, I don’t believe we could hold the gods to our standards because they’re GODS. We are Mortals, they do things we can’t even try to attempt to comprehend. And on that note, they’re not perfect. I mean, Hear threw Hephaestus down a mountain, and then he got banging Aphrodite. But when you examine the myths, I agree the validity should be questioned because none of us were there. And, as the gods live, they’re still doing things. They’re still making mistakes and trying to fix them.
Yeah I def agree with you. You can’t hold gods to mortal standards. That’s like putting a leash on a divine being. And then they aren’t gods anymore.
And it’s also unfair given that Ancient Greece was its own world with its own standards and expectations. We can’t insert our own ideals and morals to a culture from the past. It serves no purpose.
What the gods did in the past doesn’t effect my relationship with them today. Yes because I don’t even know if those stories are truly what happened but also because the way they behave and act today is very different than those stories.
Does anyone keep a Kathiskos? If you do would you mind discussing it? I will be honest and say I don’t nor do I keep Hestial lamp in my kitchen. For those that don’t know here is a link to what Kathiskos is
