REASONS TO CARRY SOMEONE.
𝔗he battle had been arduous, particularly since the master and butler had been separated. Nevertheless, Ciel was not one to depend solely on his butler for assistance. In situations like these, where their adversaries proved to be more formidable than expected, he was determined to fight using his own strength. He was willing to push himself to the brink, even if it meant reaching his physical limits before the battle concluded.
Exhausted from his sprinting and the physical toll his body endured while traversing the streets of Rouen, France, Ciel eventually reached one of the bridges spanning the river Seine. After taking the most convoluted paths on foot, leading him to the underside of the bridge, the young Earl slowed down to a weary pace. Summoning the last remnants of his strength, his eyes started to droop shut beneath heavy lids. His thoughts grew hazy, as if he was on the brink of falling into slumber. Soon enough, he could barely discern whether he was still moving forward.
Ciel's vision became too blurred to continue on towards the planned location. His body felt weightless as he closed his eyes. Despite feeling weak and fatigued, he managed to open his eyes for a brief moment. Through squinted eyes, he recognized the features of a familiar face with dark noir hair, a defined pale face, and crimson-colored eyes staring down at him.
He struggled to speak the name of his butler, his voice feeble and strained. The boy, panting heavily from his sprint, couldn't help but cough involuntarily. His lungs seemed to be on fire from the long distance he had run, yet he persisted, his voice now hoarse.
