"Your Doctor is gone, gone, gone. Can ya hear that?" He paused, drinking in the quiet. "Silence. That's some sweet, sweet silence- no voices in my head. Not his, not anyone else's. Just mine. And you know what this silence will be filled with in a minute? You. And your screams for a Doctor who is never coming back."

“Doctor!” She jolted awake, clutching her chest and breathing hard. She was in her bedroom, wearing her pajamas, waiting on her Doctor to visit today. Mister Clever was nothing--he wasn’t even dust in the universe, he was even less.

She closed her eyes and slowed her breathing. Mister Clever rattled her like few of the Doctor’s enemies ever had before; seeing her best friend’s face full of contempt for her wasn’t easily walked away from.
