the tap-dance.
poetry by @MariamaRafetna @MadiDangerously
he taps
and taps at the edge
of her,
until she breaks.
glaring,
at the mess
he's made.
"this is what they do…"
he thinks.
she pours herself
onto him
seeking comfort
understanding
he stands covered
in this mess of her
calm
complacent
unconcerned.
….he can't be too surprised...
"this,
is my role."
he believes.
"...better her than me…."
his heart,
quietly bleeds.
he won't do anything
to ease
her pain
to be responsible
for whats created.
a few empty promises
a dozen fake smiles
but,
he'll hug her tight
when he see's her
again
though...
"she didn't, really
love me
anyway."
his heart
silently
weeps.
