          if one thing could DEFINITELY be said about the wheeler siblings NOW, compared to a year ago, it was that they’d gotten CLOSER. yes, nancy was still insufferable and mike was still an annoying brat, but they’d been getting along a lot better than before, at least.

          trauma would do that to a person, apparently. it wasn’t uncommon for the two of them to try to keep tabs on each other. it wasn’t surprising to find that the two of them took much more precaution in everything that they did, and everything they saw the other doing. … just like now.
