“do you think the red socks are too much?”

continued from - Tanjiro + Inosuke
Getting caught didn't go too bad this time. Tanjiro's cheeks still flush softly with the embarrassment in his stomach. He means it, he's just happy to see Inosuke happy. The other can be such an enigma, and when Tanjiro can he takes the time to study the thing that make his friend tick. "Yeah!" he confirms quickly. He tries to replace the startle with a smile and laugh.
Tanjiro himself has been itching to get back to work. Without a mission though, there's really no leads to go on. They're very much stuck idly until one gets assigned and there's never enough chores to help with. As he tilts his head to think about Inosuke's offer, he notices that the sun has started to reach the brink of the horizon. He squints over the other's shoulder. "Maybe, but dinner could be any minute now," he notes, straightening back up. "Tomorrow? It would be good while we wait."
He lets out a long tightened breath at the thought of their crows. "No, not yet. I'm sure they'll come around soon though?" Admittedly, he's not the most excited about getting pecked to death again.

A sympathetic smile graced the brunette’s lips, her hip resting against the kitchen table as she took a slow sip from her steaming mug. The sun was just beginning to peek over the horizon, a dim glow visible from the window, casting the room in a soft pink hue. “I’m sorry, Carol. That girl was a long shot from the beginning.” A gentle hand found its way to her friend’s shoulder and Abby drew a seat for herself, pulling the chair so that they sat side by side, elbow to elbow. “Come on, have some coffee. You’ll feel better with a warm stomach.”
