i think what makes the new Hellraiser work is that for the main character it isn't about the box, its about her brother. like how in the original one it was about Kirsty saving her dad. i honestly wish the new one had leaned a bit more into the main character and her brother along with showing Trevor's true intentions and his relationship with Roland from the start to perhaps juxtapose the two relationships but i've got no outright complaints from the film. it was soooo good

Watched Hellraiser thinking it was extreme BDSM porn, when it's a minute of porn and the other 92 minutes is a woman becoming a serial killer for dick.

Honestly I can tell why this film has so many sequels because it feels like there is so much to that world that we don't see, and it's like why. If it was like the house for some reason made Frank Do That or maybe Julia was revealed just to be crazy then that would make way more sense than introducing monsters in Hell in the 3rd act.
