if hoffman had to go on an errand run for john how badly would he fuck it up and how long would he get distracted by doing anything but the one thing hes supposed to be doing
LMAOOOO ok listen he isnât the LEAST competent jigsaw apprentice. but he is an idiot (especially after john&amandaâs deaths funny enough). i do think hoffman is the type of guy who has no problem with most social interactions because heâs so completely masked himself behind layers of false identities, but also the type of guy who would have a small anxiety attack in home depot when failing to remember a specific type of material john needed, and then end up buying way more than necessary and returning all the extra purchases in shame. (remember this is mr Fuck It Burn It Down.) i also think it kills him that he isnât as clever or prescient or competent as the other jigsaws, so he would spend a lot of time trying unsuccessfully to deduce human behaviour. hoffman sometimes the hot guy who pulls up beside you at the gas station (and doesnât give you even a split second of attention) isnât your future husband. and sometimes the reporter asking you a question in a random run and gun news broadcast doesnât actually know youâre a serial killer Or a cop, and thereâs no benefit to stalking them back to their apartment or following them discreetly for several days. and the best part of all of this is that john definitely knows about these behaviours
