Inktober /Day 31 - Landmark And finally 31 and Tumblr is saved from my spam on Hellraiser tags. It is 31st and I did all prompts and I beat the deadline. You can tell your HR loving (or hating?) friends unblock me now. Today was another one of my "learning more about this word in another language". I knew what landmark was, but I didn't know its alternate meaning.
"turning point" - I had already done Elliots cube opening and leviathan (I could have used as landmark) and used so many car models... however I have not slept like 20+ hours and to cut corners I did take an old sketch and tried to do something about it before I collapse due lack of sleep - the scene that was a turning point in those characters relationship (or why big portion of HR fandom exists outside all the slasher/monster themes) After my nap i will reward myself with my favorite ice-cream and re-watching maybe HR 1-3 again. I will self-analyze this inktobers impact on me after nap, and like every year i might revisit some of the inktober daily sketches and give some of them revised or more refined treatment. I totally will not draw tomorrow... nor day after. I do not do anything artistic for 2 days as I do not want to touch that pen of mine and let my brain rest, it didnt skip a single day of working or inktobering for past 31 days despite some health and time management issues. I have earned some break!
Hellraiser - This scene alone is responsible for the whole Pinhead+Kirsty cult and following. And is the reason why we love him as much as we do (well there are many reasons, but this is a very big reason on its own!). No, do not change my mind. I said NO... do not change my mind! He can come tear my soul apart with this look any time. We love him with his pins too! Mmm... it is ok, when he wants to make my suffering legendary even in Hell. I am fine with suffering... beautifully. Errrr. (.gif done on request using Arrow's bluray [2k] release from 2015, my new 4k bluray set is already in mail!)
Inktober/day 12-13 - Remote/Horizon It is done on reverse tone. I originally intended to post this animated, but Inktober format really does not leave a lot of maneuvering room with other shared tasks of the day. I did however animate both umbral environmental shadow movement and the lighting and might finish and refine that after inktober and share them here too. Tumblrs worst Hellraiser fanartist signing out! See you slashers tomorrow, suffer beautifully.
