In today’s return to the Megamind AU I’m forcing my Internet mom/friend to learn about it
So the Megamind AU was born one really late night, because as we all know the more sleep deprived I am the more my brain juices flow in the weirdest of places, and with my AU context I decided “yeah. Yeah let’s make this”, it’s literally just the plot of Megamind minus the alien part and some of the tech, because Patch is a dumbass <3
One of the main drives behind it was the fact in my main AU, Patch (Megamind) and Dyna (Metroman) are siblings (and nifty trivia, this is because their voice actors are siblings-), and Dyna is a super hero, literally sewn from a hero’s cape. Patch sees himself as the villain to Dyna’s hero for the longest time, she’s superior to him because she’s the good one, and he decided to embody being the bad one since everyone already seen him as a shithead anyway! The Megamind AU’s foundation is built on this (also that Patch just. Has strong Megamind energy to him. He probably kins megamind.)
I had every main character filled out (Marina being Minion since they’re the MC’s best friends in their respective media’s, and Ace is Roxanne because He and Patch have a similar dynamic already but also, he’d probably kin Roxanne even without Patch, help-) EXCEPT for the main bad guy, Titan/THE SIMP. I couldn’t find a canon character who could reach his levels of simpage, and so the idea of Simone, an oc sewn from a BODY PILLOW to show he’s that much of a degenerate was born!!
He was supposed to stay in the AU, but I like-hated him too much, so now he’s... here
And that’s basically all there is to it. Patch thinks he killed his sister, makes the Greasy Miku the new bad guy, romances the funny one AND ends up saving the day
