Writing fantasy!!

Ahh yes...the dreaded fantasy...

Here’s some tips.

1. Outline. Outline, OUTLINE! This is the most important step to a fantasy novel. This particular genre is difficult so it’s important to plan out as much as possible.

2. Watch interviews of your favorite fantasy author. Like Branden Sanderson, Sarah J Maas, a lot of authors mention what helps them write. Learn from others.

3. Plan the world first. This may not work for everyone, but usually the Fantasy world is the most difficult or complex to write, especially if you’re a character driven writer. Look at images online of mystical worlds.

4. Take inspiration from anime and video games. Crazy? Not really.

I find a immense amount of inspiration and ideas from anime and video games because unlike movies and tv, anything is possible! And usually, the storylines are actually really good.
