There’s quite an interesting story for the awakening of some of my paraphilias.

Going to an anatomy exhibit in a science museum awakened in me splanchtophilia (attraction to internal organs) when I was about 7. At this same age, I enjoyed vampire movies which has previously awakened hematophilia (blood)

Later finding Happy Tree Friends by accident at age 12 awakened erotophonophilia (murder) and emapihtophilia (gore). Very much a result of the already cemented splanchtophilia and hematophilia as a youth. Did not know at the time that blood and organs can be present simultaneously due to media censorship that only showed blood. My young brain had sort of compartmentalized things and somehow believed that it was physically impossible for organs to be outside the body.

Splanchtophilia can't possibly be the real name for it can it?

That is such a goofy name oh my god 😂 🫁 🫀
