Before I post more of the closing of Lonoikamakahiki (Peace Fest made by Makaainana “citizens”) and Opening of Prince Jonah Kuhio Weekend…I think we should start the conversation soon on Alaska our cousins Inuk and Guiida Tribe of Honu Island “America” again. On search of Papahanaumokukaea requirements (they still were building it back in 1980s) My European grandfather made it clear its 3-6 months sail anywhere pre-industrial metal fiberglass. Spain and Hindian took East Coast, Japanese bought one island already. But what about Maluhia “peace”, you know like that half way bridge on boarder of Puna and Kona District, Kaua’i (Kawaiiki/Kau’i) ? …This probably needs to be shared to remind all of us. For those who think Russia is all the way on the other side of the world...It's approximately 55 miles from us at the Bering Strait's narrow point. However, in the body of water between Alaska and Russia, known as the Bering Strait, there lies two small islands known as Big Diomede and Little Diomede. Interesting enough, Big Diomede is owned by Russia while Little Diomede is owned by the US. The stretch of water between these two islands is only about 2.5 miles wide and actually freezes over during the winter so you could technically walk from the US to Russia on this seasonal sea ice. This was brought up in Mr.Sina’s High school Social Studies “Hawaiian History” class @thewaimeahighschool and Mrs.Yaris @waimeacanyonmiddleschool . The class thought I was nuts, but theyve never seen a military meteorologist or engineers office ocean chart. English sucked, red marks everywhere, but I passed again. That lead to a rabbit hole of- Russian Fort people? Anastasias Real, Sea Wolfs are Real, Dragon is real…its boot camp or Surf trip!!! Dash for exploration was on, #AnnieAlexander cant have all the fun. #letsgo #timetocheckin #keepthepeace #hemokuhewaa #ohanawaa #sailorsmeeting #marinerscompass @hokuleacrew @temanaotemoana https://www.instagram.com/p/CbhBka5Ou3F/?utm_medium=tumblr
