"Do you want me to leave?"
"No!" Kara exclaimed, with much more urgency than she had intended to show. Even since Maggie and her sister invited her to come to one of the few LGBTQA+ bars in National City, she had felt a little uncomfortable. Not because of the bar of course, but because she was alone. Maggie and her sister were together, lost in their own world on the dance floor while Kara stood awkwardly while couples and groups mingled amongst themselves. Smoothing out her pleated skirt and blouse, she turned to head to the bar. Sure, while wine wouldn't do anything to ease her discomfort - it would give her something to do for a few minutes. Once she reached the bar, it was the smell of a exquisite perfume that caught her attention, it was a familiar scent, but one she wouldn't have been able to place if she hadn't locked eyes with the woman wearing it.
The raven haired beauty was practically radiating from across the bar, a classic Lena Luthor smile playing on her lips. Was the ever a time while she wasn't glowing? She had an essence about her that made Kara believe she could have anything she wanted with the snap of a finger and a soft smile. It made her both enchanting and dangerous - a combination that intrigued Kara more than anyone else she had met in National City.
Heading over the her friend, surprise was clear in the blonde's expression. She began to fumble over her words, with a winded explaination as to why she looked so surprised. When Lena replied with a comment about leaving, Kara quickly came to a halt. That's when the urgent 'NO' slipped back her lips before her brain processed it.
"No, please don't, I'm really happy to see you here." she explained, reverberating when Lena's brow quirked in response. "I mean, I was standing here alone for a while, it's really nice to see a familiar face." she back tracked, not wanting to come on strong or anything, especially if Lena was here to meet someone else.
Sitting down on the stool next to Lena, she smiled when a drink was brought her way - making sure to thank the bartender. "So.. " Kara began, trying to sound as casual and nonchalant as possible. "Are you meeting someone? I don't want to interrupt or anything." she asked, adjusting her glasses as she silently prayed to Rao she wasn't.
