Oh ffs. I heard the rumour, I didn’t know it had been confirmed. Why is it so difficult for them to hire actual Asian people to play Asian roles? It’s not as if there’s a lack of actors / actresses. The only thing lacking is DECENT non stereotypical Asian roles but even where there are some they can’t fucking get them.
I heard about Arden too. It’s bullshit.
It’s funny, and by funny I mean incredibly annoying and not funny in the slightest, that people still think it’s not a big deal and whenever we talk about this stuff we’re just being “over dramatic” and “making everything about race” and whatever else to cover up the fact they don’t wanna see that sometimes, or more like a lot of times, a person’s race actually is a big fucking deal when it comes to rooting for someone. It’s not their only aspect obviously, like I don’t love Glenn because he’s Asian, but when this stuff happens people need to realise the struggles they go through as a someone who isn’t white. It’s just not the same and you can’t compare.
Representation for POC is so important I don’t understand why that’s so hard to grasp.
